Madison + Steven || Atlanta, Georgia Wedding

1/18/21

Madison + Steven

When I think of these two, I think of one thing- JOY.

Pure joy. Truly. Madison + Steven got married this December with their closest friends and family present at Canoe in Atlanta. The day was pure magic and when I say you don’t want to miss this post- I mean you don’t want to miss it. Madison was the perfect #meganholleybride and every single image is so full of love between these two. She started off the day at her childhood home and her sisters were her four bridesmaids!! How lucky is that- built in bridesmaids! I knew that this day would be a favorite far before December.

I’ve had the pleasure of being friends with Madison for a few years now and when Madison emailed me about being a #meganholleybride, I couldn’t help but squeal. Madison and I met up in January to plan for all the things at the consultation. Every moment of it we were smiling and laughing and having the best time. I knew as soon as I left that I wanted them as one of my ten 2020 couples.

The Planning

When Madison emailed me the next day saying they were becoming officially official, I couldn’t help but smile from ear to ear. We busily began prepping for the engagement session and then the wedding day. Our last consult we had, Madison and I sat in my car at Starbucks for almost two hours chatting through the whole day.

The Day Of

On the day of the wedding, I woke up so excited. From the moment I walked in, I remember seeing the pure joy on her face (I mean just look at these pictures). As we started taking pictures, excitement filled the room. We went to Canoe for the pre-ceremony shots and got everything done in record time. The moment Madison came outside to walk down the aisle, I remember Steven’s face. He was in awe of her- his wife- coming down the aisle. He had the sweetest expressions on his face. I cried three times at her wedding-once when she put on her wedding dress- her face, her mom crying, all of it- pure magic. I cried again when she and Steven said I do- the two of them looked at each other with such big smiles (just wait for that shot!). I cried again (the time I always cry at weddings) when she and her dad danced because I just can’t wait for that special moment with my own dad. It was a day full of so much love, and so much JOY.

Now that I’ve been talking to you for a while, I’m just going to let you see for yourself… When I said magical, I meant magical. Madison + Steven- I wish you both the happiest life together. Y’all are perfect for each other and I adore you. Thank you for having me as part of your special day. It means more to me than you will ever know!

Without further ado… 🙂

Some of my favorite detail photos… I love how she incorporated Navy as a statement color- so unique and so beautiful!

First, can we just talk about these shoes?!

Just look at her smile- I’m telling y’all the joy is contagious!!

One of her sisters (and bridesmaids!!) did her makeup and I just loved these sweet moments!!

Then we see one of the sweetest mother/daughter moments I’ve ever witnessed right here…

Here we have one of my favorite spreads- I love these two because they’re just so sweet and sentimental…

As a photographer I live for this moment and you KNOW my brides love a first look with dad. And it is one of my favorite moments of any wedding day!

Somewhere between the last picture and here we drove to Canoe- and just look at those greens!!!

A new favorite for sure- what on earth!!

December meant it was going to be chilly, so I’m glad these five had these adorable shawls to wrap up in!! They made a great addition to the photos!

AND can we just talk about the velvet dresses? OMG.

I rarely share parent formal photos in blog posts, but this was was a MUST. I just love this sweet moment so much, and the sun peeking down on them makes it so much better.

I love every little detail about this day…

Also- what a stud. Am I right?

Before this, I told the guys to jump on 3…. Clearly they are great listeners!

After that, it was ceremony time!!

Then, Steven was ready to see his BRIDE. AHHH!

This little nugget. I can’t even.

I’m obsessed with the next two spreads. The two of them just look so happy. And it shows.

Just look at how he looks at her. I mean. Is there anything better than this?

Madison’s best friend Allie read a piece during the ceremony that kept everyone laughing!

MARRIED…!!!!!

I had to move this portrait up so y’all could all see it. Because holy wow. This is a favorite for sure. Can we say home page of website?

The adorable bridal party!! Would you believe me if I told you we took these in the dark? HAHA!

Another favorite- clearly- it’s all over Instagram and Facebook already!

Mr. and Mrs. HEDGES!!!!

First dance with the biggest smiles ever!!

I love this sweet father daughter dance moment… 🙂

How adorable is this for your name cards?? A Christmas tree of ornaments!!

These two- they just kept me laughing all day long.

Love this sweet sister moment!!

And of course I had to sneak one in with them!!

They ended the night with a jingle bell exit, which was so precious! Each guest had a ring of jingle bells and everyone cheered as the happy couple left! Also, peep the shoes in Steven’s hand- I just think that’s so dang cute!

Shoutout to the incredible vendor team who made this day happen!
